The shipment of your food products across Canada, at specific temperatures (fresh, frozen, protect from freezing or ambient), is our specialty. According to Statistics Canada, Canadians spend close to 100 billion dollars on food and beverages and another 50 billion in restaurants and bars every year... no wonder we keep busy!
Both our companies (CRS & DBU) deliver your goods by the skid and the truckload. Only food products travel on our trailers and we keep our equipment clean and the food that travels with us safe and secure.
We’re big on training and have our own driver school at all of our terminals. Proactive maintenance programs keep our equipment in excellent working order and our drivers safe. These programs also enable us to deliver on schedule throughout Canada and the Eastern USA seaboard.
Our customers have real time shipment visibility to manage their business effectively. You’ll experience our personal approach to managing your refrigerated trucking requirements from your very first shipment.
To better serve our customers, we developed refrigerated cross dock operations at our regional head office locations and utilize partner carriers throughout our cross Canada network. The benefit to building consolidations with temperature controlled, food products only is that we can accommodate the needs of small and large shippers alike.
Maintaining specific temperatures through every aspect of our operations allows us to deliver on time and on temperature to Canada’s major retailers coast to coast.
Stan Morrow built CRS from the ground up and realized very early that vendor consolidation programs and just in time deliveries were the most effective way to distribute food products to retailers Canada wide. When he purchased veteran carrier David Brown United, the two companies combined could now service Canada coast to coast. We’re not 100% sure, but we are possibly the only privately owned, dedicated food trucking operation that can make that claim.
